TDW’s STOPPLE® plugging machines offer a temporary block valve to isolate pipeline sections during scheduled maintenance, retrofitting, new construction, alterations, and emergencies, all without interrupting service. Engineered in the early 1950s, STOPPLE® technology remains the most reliable and widely used method for isolating pipeline sections.
Hyotem utilizes TDW fittings, engineered to meet the unique requirements of our customers’ pipelines. As a trusted manufacturer of pipeline products for over 90 years, TDW, in collaboration with Hyotem, provides fittings solutions operators can trust. Our extensive range includes fittings for high-pressure transmission, plant processing, gas distribution (including polyethylene systems), and water pipelines. Available in various materials—including Low CE, Chrome Moly, Stainless Steel, and others—our fittings are designed, tested, and manufactured to meet a range of global codes and guidelines. For specialty fittings requiring more stringent specifications, we offer engineered-to-order (ETO) solutions.
The STOPPLE® Plus completion plug system integrates the STOPPLE® Plus fitting with a LOCK-O-RING® Plus completion plug, designed for high-pressure applications. Once tapping equipment is removed, a blind flange is installed on the fitting, allowing for re-entry into the pipeline at a later date by removing the blind flange and completing the plug.
At Hyotem, we deliver adaptable, fully engineered hot tapping and plugging solutions for the maintenance, modification, and repair of gas distribution systems—without interrupting service.
Hyotem, in partnership with TDW, offers the SHORTSTOPP® PE & POLYSTOPP® Plugging Systems, built on proven pressure control technology and designed specifically for use on polyethylene gas pipelines. These systems isolate pipeline sections by installing folding plugging heads while maintaining gas supply through a bypass. The systems allow work to be conducted in smaller areas than required for typical setups, reducing modifications and maintaining pipeline integrity. The SHORTSTOPP® PE system is available in sizes 4- through 12-inch, while the POLYSTOPP® system is available in sizes DN90 – 250 / 315 and 355, suitable for use on PE 80 and PE 100 pipes.
TDW’s quick and cost-effective steel repair sleeves and RES-Q® composite wrap are engineered for temporary to permanent repairs on most pipe diameters.
High-quality and performance-based pipeline pigs from TDW are utilized, ranging from cleaning pigs, bi-directional pigs, batching pigs, displacement pigs, foam pigs, spherical pigs, magnetic pigs, and drying pigs.
